Wolfsburg set to make Bundesliga history

On Sunday, 26 April, VfL Wolfsburg travel to Energie Cottbus, targeting their 11th successive Bundesliga victory. It would be the longest winning streak ever in the Bundesliga within a single season.

  • Wolfsburg would break Borussia Mönchengladbach’s record for most wins in a row within one season, set in 1986/1987.
  • The last time Wolfsburg failed to win a Bundesliga match was on 31 January 2009 when they drew 1-1 against 1. FC Köln.
  • The Bundesliga record for most consecutive wins through season boundary is 15 and was set by Bayern München in the 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 seasons (March-September 2005).
