Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted once again that having done enough to add sufficient squad-depth, he is now looking to add few players that can improve the first team as well.

It has been an eventful summer for the Reds having already signed four players – Luis Alberto, Kolo Toure, Iago Aspas and Simon Mignolet – and Rodgers is looking to add a couple of quality first team players, as the Merseysiders looking to mount a serious challenge for the top four spot.

The arrival of Mignolet from Sunderland will see goal keeper Pepe Reina departing on a season-long-loan to Serie A outfit Napoli, where he will be united with his former mentor Rafael Benitez.

Meanwhile, the Luis Suarez saga continues, with Arsenal expected to lodge a make-or-break offer for the Uruguayan amidst reports that Liverpool are adamant that the the former Ajax star will not be sold to any rival Premier League club.

Rodgers wants Suarez to commit his future to the club, atleast for one more season, as he looks to reinforce in few other areas,  like the left back position and a few bodies on the attacking department too.

It has been reported that Liverpool are looking to land Valencia left-back Aly Cissokho, on a season-long-loan deal, with an agreement to pay a further £3.5million to buy the player outright next summer.
