Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj has been sent on a season long loan at Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The Belgian winger burst onto the scene under David Moyes, but has struggled to hold down a regular first team place since then.
After a goalscoring start against Aston Villa this season, Van Gaal decided to send him out on loan to gain more first team experience.
With the likes of Young, Valencia, Depay and Martial in the squad, the Belgian was limited to a bit part role at Old Trafford.
Having joined Dortmund, the youngster expressed his desire to do well in the Bundesliga and return to Manchester United as a better player. The Belgian is expected to replace Jakub Blaszczykowski at the Westfalen this season.
The young winger has already made a bright start to life under Thomas Tuchel.
Januzaj scored his first goal for Borussia Dortmund against St Pauli in a friendly. Although the ball was deflected into the net, Januzaj showed tremendous composure and skill to get the shot away.
