With just days to go until the 2023 Super Bowl gets underway, West Ham United stars have offered their predictions as to who will come out on top.

This Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Kansas City Chiefs at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona in Super Bowl LVII.

The Chiefs take part in their third Super Bowl in the last four years with one-score wins over the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cincinatti Bengals.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes made the Pro Bowl for a fifth consecutive year, with a career-high 5,250 passing yards and 41 touchdowns, while throwing 12 interceptions.

He also set an NFL record for the most total yards in a season by a quarterback with 5,608.

Kansas City have previously competed in four Super Bowls, with wins in IV and LIV, and with losses in I and LV.

The Eagles finished the season 14-3, tied for the NFL-best, advancing to the Super Bowl with victories over the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers.

It will be Philadelphia’s fourth Super Bowl, having previously won in LII, and having lost in XV and XXXIX.

West Ham United Player Predictions

England star Declan Rice was the first Hammers player to offer a prediction, to which he responded: “Patrick Mahomes baby! Kansas City.”

Alphonse Areola, Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet and Thilo Kehrer all opposed Rice’s opinion, voting in favour of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Young Hungarian goalkeeper Krisztián Hegyi was confident in his prediction, instantly exclaiming: “The Chiefs!”

Tomáš Souček agreed with the youngster, predicting a Kansas City Chiefs victory.

Manuel Lanzini and Pablo Fornals both voted in favour of the Eagles. Fornals cited that Philadelphia having a “better name” was his reasoning for predicting an Eagles triumph.

And the final prediction came from Jamaican international Michail Antonio, who predicted an Eagles win, handing Philadelphia a 7-3 victory in the West Ham player predictions.
