It looks like the undisputed heavyweight world title clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury could finally be on. Promoter Frank Warren has revealed that the fight will ‘100 per cent’ happen at the back end of April.

Fury vs Usyk Set For April 29th

It seems like we could be edging closer to the undisputed heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. In a recent interview promoter Frank Warren revealed that the boxing super-fight is ‘100 per cent’ going to happen at the back end of April this year.

That means we are just a matter of 10 or so weeks away from this potential heavyweight mega-fight. The fight is rumoured to be heading to Saudi Arabia, with a location definitively set to be announced in the next week. Wembley Stadium is the back-up venue for the bout if the negotiations with Saudi Arabia fall through.

It looks almost certain that this fight will be heading to the Middle East. Usyk has supposedly already agreed a site deal with the Saudis, with ‘The Gypsy King’ currently negotiating his own deal.

Frank Warren ‘100 Per Cent’ Confident Fight Is On

Fury’s co-promoter, Frank Warren, revealed in a recent interview with Simon Jordan and Jim White on talkSPORT that the fight is nearly a done deal:

“The fight will take place 100 per cent the last Saturday in April. Where it takes place I genuinely think will be determined within the next six or seven days maximum.

“If we can’t do what we’re being asked to do with Tyson and Usyk [in Saudi Arabia], then the fight will take place in the UK,” said Warren.

The silence from Fury’s side is deafening, but in a good way. Usually the WBC World Heavyweight Champion is all over social media with his various rants and videos. However, the fact he has been quiet makes boxing fans think he is serious and is nearing the completion of his negotiations with the Saudis.

Fingers crossed the fight gets announced imminently! What a fight it would be between two undefeated heavyweights with all of the marbles on the line.

Given his recent performances and size advantage, Tyson Fury is the slight betting favourite with the best UK betting sites to beat the Ukrainian. Oleksandr Usyk will likely go in as a relatively big priced underdog with the best sports betting apps. Boxing fans are in for a treat  if this fight is indeed finalised in the coming weeks.
