In the latest Arsenal transfer news, the Gunners have reportedly seen their £14million bid for Sacha Boey rejected by Turkish giants Galatasaray.

North Londoners Arsenal have reportedly seen their £14.7million bid for right-back Sacha Boey rejected by Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray.

The report comes from Turkish journalist Nevzat Dindar, who claims that Galatasaray are looking for a fee of around £21m to sell their French asset.

Boey has impressed massively during his second campaign in Turkey, contributing to Galatasaray’s push for a first league title in four years.

Making 29 appearances in the Turkish top flight this term, a victory over Sivasspor in their next match would seal the title for Galatasaray and Boey.

It is also claimed that the Turkish league leaders’ vice-president Erden Timur has travelled to London to discuss the defender’s potential transfer.

The news comes amid rumours that Mikel Arteta is looking to strengthen his options at right-back ahead of the new campaign.

Ben White has played most of this season in the position, with Takehiro Tomiyasu missing several gameweeks through injury.

Boey, a French Under-20 international, joined the Turkish side from Ligue 1 club Rennes back in 2021 for around £1million.

At just 22-years-of-age, he has now made 42 appearances in the Turkish Süper Lig, scoring once and assisting on four occasions.

Speaking to L’Equipe last month, Boey himself admitted he would consider his options at the end of the campaign.

“I have experienced the lows and the highs [at Galatasaray],” Boey said.

“My performance is consistent now.

“I think it’s time to turn a corner but we’ll see at the end of the season depending on what happens.”
