Tottenham vs Bournemouth Preview
An in-form Bournemouth side travel to North London to take on Tottenham in one of two Premier League fixtures on Sunday afternoon, with Spurs coming into the tie off the back of a disappointing 4-2 defeat to Brighton.
Ange Postecoglou’s side were well-beaten amid an injury crisis with their central defenders, a result that ended their three game winning run and left them six points adrift of league leaders Liverpool in fifth.
The Cherries on the other hand, maintained their excellent form on Boxing Day with a 3-0 win over Fulham. It’s a victory that extended their unbeaten run to a stunning seven straight matches, with the last four coming as wins.
Bournemouth now find themselves occupying 12th place in the English top flight table, 10 points clear of the relegation zone, giving Andoni Iraola some much needed breathing space heading into 2024.
Their last meeting came back in Gameweek 3 near the end of August, where goals from James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski inspired an, at the time, unbeaten Tottenham to a 2-0 victory at the Vitality Stadium.

Spurs’ injury woes continue heading into the New Year, as it has now been confirmed that Cristian Romero is set for up to five weeks on the sidelines after undergoing a scan for a hamstring strain.
The Argentine joins Micky van de Ven (thigh), Ivan Perisic (knee), Rodrigo Bentancur (ankle), Maddison (ankle), Ryan Sessegnon (thigh), Manor Solomon (knee) and Yves Bissouma (suspended) on the sidelines.
Oliver Skipp missed out on the trip to the Amex with a knock, however Postecoglou revealed that he should be okay for Bournemouth’s visit to North London on Sunday.
