Silks is back again as the popular metaverse and P2E game has agreed a partnership with the New York Racing Association (NYRA) and FOX Sports. This tremendous collaboration is Silks most significant development since it’s launch.
Silks Is Back And Better Than Ever
2022 hasn’t exactly been a great year for the crypto market. However, it isn’t all bad news. The good news is that Silks, the popular metaverse and P2E game, has formed a partnership with the NYRA and FOX Sports.
Silks have recently revealed that they have received an investment from the NYRA, which is one of it’s most significant developments to date.
For those that aren’t sure who the NYRA are or what they do, here is a brief outline. NYRA is a not-for-profit corporation that is allowed to run the three biggest tracks in the state of New York: Belmont Park, Saratoga Race Course, and Aqueduct. It has permission to run these tracks until 2033.
What Does This Partnership Mean?
With the partnership, Silks becomes the official blockchain gaming and metaverse partner of NYRA and NYRA Bets. New York Racing Association Bets is the racing association’s advance-deposit wagering platform, which is available in 30 states across the entire US.
The partnership will also see NYRA promote Silks to fans, which will be a huge boost to the exposure of the rapidly rising game. Another boost to the exposure of Silks is that FOX Sports and NYRA with work together to stream races in the Silks metaverse.
National television shows such as ‘Saratoga Live’ and ‘America’s Day at the Races’ are just two of the shows that will promote the Silks game. Coupled with the fact that Silks will have a presence at NYRA’s tracks, this is set to bring a great deal of exposure to the game.
Founder and chief executive of Game of Silks, Dan Nissanoff, believes this is a monumental partnership and is absolute delighted with the deal:
“This is a monumental deal matching NYRA Bets and FOX Sports with the fastest-growing metaverse sports game in the space. We clearly see the vast potential that Web3 gaming and the metaverse have to offer horse racing, and this partnership will allow the sport to build an unprecedented interactive virtual experience that can attract millions of new fans.”
Benefits To Participants In The Silks Metaverse
On its part, Silks will build replicas of NYRA’s tracks in its metaverse, offering America’s horse racing scene some exposure in return. The race at Saratoga Race Course is considered to be the premier race in the country and features 77 stakes that offer a total prize of $22.6 million.
One major benefits of this new partnership for owners of Silks’ NFTs is that they will receive 1% of their real-world horse counterparts’ winnings come in 2023 and beyond. This incentive is expected to boost the number of Silks players in years to come, with the winnings themselves also rumours to increase in due course.
The partnership is one of the biggest developments in Silks’ history, which already made splashes in the crypto community with the sale of its Silks Avatars and Yearlings. The game has several NFT collections, all of which have a use in its metaverse. Players can not only generate income from the performance of their horses but in other passive ways as well. This includes staking in the community farms.
The Future of Horse Racing is Set to Take Off
A partnership with the likes of NYRA and FOX Sports is no small feat and has all the potential to bring tremendous life into what was already a popular crypto project.
As this project does indeed mirror the real world, the marketing potential was always going to be high. But just how high can it go? A collaboration with huge organisations such as FOX Sports and NYRA will further bolster the potential of Silks in terms of it’s exposure and exponential growth.
Being advertised through national broadcasts on mainstream television as well as promotion through on of the biggest horse racing organisations in the entire sport certain offers sensational value to Silks.
So, 2023 could well be the year that Silks showcase how metaverses can be used in novel, modish, exciting ways.
