Sean Dyche has ruled out Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of this weekend’s relegation decider against Bournemouth, as the striker continues to recover from injury.

Everton can confirm their Premier League survival with a win against Bournemouth this weekend, but the Toffees will have to do it without Dominic Calvert-Lewin once again.

Calvert-Lewin has struggled all season with injuries and has started just 15 Premier League games, with two goals in a nightmare campaign for the Toffees.

An injury will keep Calvert-Lewin sidelined yet again this weekend, as Sean Dyche confirmed both he and Nathan Patterson will be absent from Everton’s final Premier League fixture of the season.

“They [Patterson and Calvert-Lewin] won’t be fit.

“Well, we haven’t had Dom for two-thirds of my time here. We’ve still won games and still got points on the board, performed well. And Patto’s come into the side more latterly, done very well, but we lose him as well.”

While Patterson and Calvert-Lewin are both confirmed absentees this weekend, Dyche remains hopeful over Vitalii Mykolenko who could return to the squad.

‘He’s a bit better so we will see how he reacts tomorrow to training today.’

Everton are two points clear of Leeds and Leicester in the relegation zone, so just need to win on the final day of the season to confirm safety.

If Everton do fail to win and Leeds or Leicester win, the Toffees will be relegated to the Championship for a first time in Premier League history.
