Rory McIlroy is well underway in his preparation for next week’s Masters at Augusta National as the four-time major champion looks to complete a career grand slam.

Earlier this month, McIlroy travelled to Georgia for three practice rounds at the famous course after a disappointing performance at The Players where he missed the cut.

Rumours began to surface that he took just 19 putts in one of the rounds and the man himself confirmed it.

“Yeah, look, I had two good days. We played 54 holes in two days, it was good. I was really happy where my game was, and it was good to see that after struggling at The Players.”
