Romelu Lukaku Next Club Odds: Belgian Shows Huge Praise To Saudi Arabia
After joining Chelsea in 2021 for a staggering £97.5m, many believed the Belgian was back on course to becoming one of the best strikers in the world.
In the season prior, Lukaku scored 24 goals and contributed with 10 assists to help guide Inter Milan to a Serie A title.
The prolific striker was unable to replicate this form at Stamford Bridge and returned to Inter Milan on loan during the 2022-23 season.
This move was not as fruitful as his title winning campaign and Inter chose not to make the deal permanent – meaning Lukaku signed for Roma on loan at the beginning of the 2023/24 season.
Scoring 15 goals in all competitions, the 30-year-old has began to find form and could make a permanent move to Italy.
However, bookmakers have now slashed odds for Lukaku’s next club to be in Saudi Arabia, as the possibility has been priced at 10/11 – which comes after his recent praise for the SPL.
The former Everton star claimed that the Saudi Pro League will be ‘one of the best in the world’ within the next two years and could even become the best competition in the world.
A host of star names have moved to the ever-evolving nation, including the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Sadio Mane – meaning Lukaku could follow suit.
Another possibility is a move to French champions, PSG, who may be looking to replace Kylian Mbappe in the near future, as the superstar continues to be linked with Real Madrid – but the French side have been priced at a far-fetched 10/1.
