Spanish giants Real Madrid reportedly believe that Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham is Premier League bound this summer.

According to a report, Real Madrid are losing hope of signing 22-time England international Jude Bellingham this summer, with Dortmund’s current asking price being too much for Los Blancos.

Bellingham has long been linked with a move away from Germany, with a whole host of Europe’s top clubs reportedly interested in securing the 19-year-old’s signature.

Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester City are believed to be the three front-runners to sign the Stourbridge-born midfielder.

It is now believed, however, that European clubs are worried about the financial power available to Premier League sides. English top-flight sides’ spending in January was more than Europe’s top four other leagues combined. Due to this, Madrid are said to be worried that they will soon lose out on the signing of Bellingham.

This will come as welcome news for Liverpool, as Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on bringing the youngster to Anfield. The Reds are in desperate need for midfield reinforcements, as the club looks ready for a rebuild after a disappointing first-half to the 2022/23 season.

The threat of Manchester City, and big-spenders Chelsea remains for Liverpool. However, with the possibility of Real Madrid dropping out of the race, the Reds will have much more confidence in completing the deal.

Betting sites currently have Liverpool as favourites to sign Bellingham, priced at around 2/1 to complete the midfielder’s signing.
