ENTHUSED (system – James Owen handicappers)
Simply backing all James Owen-trained handicappers would have found 12 winners from 45 bets (27%) for a profit of £7.50 to a £1 level stake at SP, with those who finished in the top four on their latest outing winning 11 from 29 (38%) for a profit of £20.00. ENTHUSED, winner of another course and distance handicap a fortnight ago, can follow up.
KEMPTON 5.30
AMERICAN TALE (system – Brian Meehan/Oisin Murphy)
In the past five seasons Oisin Murphy has a 12 from 47 record when riding for Brian Meehan and backing them all would have returned a profit of £76.60 to a £1 level stake at SP. AMERICAN TALE was caught wide when a close-up third under Billy Loughnane at Wolverhampton last time and can bounce back now returned to the course and distance of his sole previous success.
SOUTHWELL 7.15
NORDIC PASSAGE (system – Daniel Muscutt, Southwell)
Daniel Muscutt has a good record when riding on Southwell’s Tapeta surface, especially in handicaps, scoring on 19 of his 103 mounts for a profit of £29.25 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those who started at odds of 14-1 or shorter were 10 from 83 for a profit of £49.25. NORDIC PASSAGE was a 6f Racing League winner on Newcastle’s Tapeta surface when we last saw him and cam follow up.
