BATH 4.40
KEEPER’S CHOICE (system – Adrian Wintle, local tracks)
There are only two race courses within a 50-mile radius of Adrian Wintle’s Gloucestershire base – Chepstow and Bath – and he has a good recent record at both of them. Since racing resumed after lockdown in 2020, he’s won with ten of his 71 runners at Chepstow for a profit of £30.50 to a £1 level stake at SP and 23 of his 98 runners at Bath for a profit of £51.20. KEEPER’S CHOICE has shown very little in two runs this season but it was a similar story in 2022 before his 9-1 head second at Chester on his third outing and he could reward each-way support at a double-figure price.
SLIGO 6.40
MCTENETT (system – Starspangledbanner, 2yo debut, turf)
Juvenile progeny of the sire Starspangledbanner have a good record when making their juvenile debuts on turf, landing 28 of their 188 starts (14.9% strike-rate) for a profit of £39.61 to a £1 level stake at SP. MCTENETT qualifies in this 5.5f auction maiden.
SLIGO 8.10
GLYDE RANGER (system – Belardo, 1m+, Flat)
Progeny of the sire Belardo do well on the Flat over 1m or further, landing 78 of their 519 starts (15% strike-rate) for a profit of £60.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. GLYDE RANGER is a 13-race maiden but ran second at 25-1 on his penultimate start and can reward each-way support again.
