MY DESERT QUEEN (system – Kevin Ryan, Lope De Vega progeny)
Kevin Ryan clearly has a soft spot for the sire Lope De Vega, churning out multiple victories with the likes of Mount Tahan (six wins), Flaming Spear (four), Ayutthaya (four), Weekend Offender (four) and Roulston Scar (three) among others. His full record with the sire stands at 25 wins from 141 runs (17.7%) for a profit of £14.40 to a £1 level stake at SP. He struck with juvenile debutante Expensive Queen (tipped in this column) in the Jaber Abdullah silks earlier this season and perhaps MY DESERT QUEEN can follow suit.
LEICESTER 5.10
MOULIN BOUJ (system – Leicester, straight track, stalls 1 and 2)
This year, simply backing all runners drawn in stalls 1 and 2 on the straight course (5f-7f) at Leicester, regardless of field size and ground conditions, would have found 22 winners from 110 bets (20% strike-rate) for a profit of £70.66 to a £1 level stake at SP. George Scott’s MOULIN BOUJ (stall 1 of 8) scored with something to spare at Bath last time and can follow up.
