GLISTENING NIGHTS (system – Night Of Thunder 2yos on turf)
Prior to Wednesday’s racing, juvenile progeny of the sire Night Of Thunder were 66 from 370 (17.8% strike-rate) when racing on turf for a profit of £23.88 to a £1 level stake at SP. On good to soft or softer going (based on race times, not the official verdict) the score is 22 from 109 for a profit of £86.92. The Richard Fahey-trained GLISTENING NIGHTS was well beaten at Doncaster on his debut but actually fared third best of those drawn low on a day that high numbers enjoyed a huge advantage. He improved his RPR (Racing Post Rating) by 38lb when a 25-1 fourth on fast ground at Beverley next time and he looks set for a big run with the recent rain very much in his favour.

FIVER FRIDAY (system – The Gurkha, 1m1f-1m2f, turf)
Backing all progeny of the sire The Gurkha over 1m1f-1m2f on turf would have found 17 winners from 129 runners (13.2% strike-rate) for a profit of £95.13 to a £1 level stake at SP. The three-year-olds contributed 14 winners from 85 runners for a profit of £103.63. FIVER FRIDAY landed skinny odds over 1m1f in maiden company at Musselburgh last time and can follow up.
YARMOUTH 5.05
MONTY BE QUICK (system – New Bay handicappers, top three finish last time out)
Progeny of the sire New Bay have a great record in handicaps on the back of a top three finish, landing 78 of their 272 starts (28.7% strike-rate) for a profit of £111.95 to a £1 level stake at SP. MONTY BE QUICK, second by a neck at Chepstow on his handicap debut earlier this month, and can go one better.
