Progeny of the sire Night Of Thunder tends to relish slow conditions and backing all the Flat runners on good to soft or softer going (according to race times, not the official verdict) would have found 58 winners from 331 bets (17.5% strike-rate) for a profit of £34.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. The fillies and mares were 31 from 157 (19.8%) for a profit of £78.39. Newcomer QUEEN OF THUNDER’s dam went close on her debut – going down by a short head at 33-1 – before scoring at the second time of asking and she’s worth chancing at a big price.

PANDORA LOVEGOOD (system – Fast Company, good to soft or softer going)
Backing progeny of the sire Fast Company on officially soft or heavy going (Flat only) would have found 128 winners from 923 bets (13.9% strike-rate) for a profit of £66.61 to a £1 level stake at SP. The fillies don’t fare as well as the colts/geldings, but I still want to chance PANDORA LOVEGOOD on her belated reappearance. Joseph Murphy’s three-year-old only encountered ground that was officially soft or slower on two occasions last year, scoring by five lengths at Roscommon before landing a 7f nursery at the Galway Festival.
