Charlie Appleby does well with his younger (2yo and 3yo) first-time blinkered runners, with those who tasted defeat on their latest outing landing 11 of their 31 starts for a profit of £10.22. NOBLE STYLE was one of many of the Appleby runners to underperform at Royal Ascot and the blinkers, combined with a gelding operation, can see him bounce back to the sort of form that saw him land his first three juvenile outings last year, including the Gimcrack Stakes.

RHODIA (system – Fast Company, hurdles, good to soft or softer going)
Progeny of the sire Fast Company have a solid record over hurdles on good to soft or softer going (time-based, not the official verdict), landing 34 of their 266 starts for a profit of £66.89 to a £1 level stake at SP. RHODIA was ridden by a very inexperienced jockey when only sixth on good ground at Carlisle last time and will appreciate today’s slower conditions.
