GOODWOOD JOCKEYS
JAMES DOYLE is riding well at present, scoring on eight of his 22 mounts in the past fortnight, and he looks worth a buy in the Spreadex JOCKEYS MARKET at Glorious Goodwood today. RAASEL has been backed into favourite for the opener and the son of Showcasing won’t mind the slow conditions, currently described as good to soft, soft in places. DORNEY LAKE, a newcomer from the Gosden yard, represents a sire who gets plenty of debut winners. Missing a beat at the start, last most newcomers do, might actually help as he’ll be able to get cover from the forecast strong headwind. TASHKHAN (4.35) finds winning difficult but often stays on into the frame when the mud is flying and could pick up points in the Group 1 Goodwood Cup. SYSTEM, his final ride, hasn’t been out yet this season and is a huge price for the 5.05. However, she finished fifth in this race 12 months ago and she could sneak into the places.

YARMOUTH 3.00
It looks significant that HOLLIE DOYLE heads to Great Yarmouth for just the one ride rather than head Glorious Goodwood today. Archie Watson’s LOADED QUIVER (3.00), her sole mount, caught the eye when a 14-1 runner-up to evens favourite Per Contra at Chepstow on his debut last month, running green before coming from off the pace to finish three-and-a-quarter lengths behind the winner. He pulled the same distance clear of the third and could be well drawn in stall 2 on last week’s evidence. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
