Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to the evening all-weather fixtures at Chelmsford and Newcastle for his recommended bets/trades on Tuesday, August 15th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
NEWCASTLE 6.00
There are a few reasons for fielding against IRON SHERIFF in this 1m2f Class 6 handicap – 1) he’s drawn low in stall 2, a disadvantageous draw in big-field handicaps on the round course at Newcastle, 2) he won last-time out and his record following a win reads 2743 (0-4), and 3) that win came at Pontefract from a favourable draw and low-drawn 1m2f Pontefract winners are profitable to oppose when bidding to follow up. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. HILDEGARD looks the best port of call for fixed odds punters.
Recommendation: Oppose IRON SHERIFF in Newcastle 6.00
CHELMSFORD DOUBLE DRAW
The usual low-draw bias has not been as prevalent at Chelmsford this spring/summer, with stalls 1 and 2 landing just 23 of their 224 races (10.3%) since the beginning of March for a loss of £135.38 to a £1 level stake at SP (-60.4% on turnover). Backing those two stalls showed a profit at SP in the March to August period last year. There are plenty of fancied horses drawn low today – notably THOMAS EQUINAS, who has stall 1 in the 6.15, and WONDER LEGEND, who will break from the inside berth in the 6.45, suggesting that a buy of CHELMSFORD DOUBLE DRAW with Spreadex could pay dividends.
Recommendation: Buy DOUBLE DRAW at Chelmsford.
