Sell Stage Star in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to consider Peter Fahey’s VISIONARIAN. The eight-year-old usually struggles in the winter months, recording form figures from November to February of 257026 (0-6), compared to 12152112 (4-8) from March to October.
Recommendation: Oppose STAGE STAR in Aintree 1.45

BRAVEMANSGAME has a phenomenal record from October to February since undergoing wind surgery, recording form figures of 2111111111 (9-10). However, he tends to go off the boil in the spring, with form figures in March/April of 3242 (0-4). That might seem a harsh assessment after his seven-length runner-up effort in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, but he’s seen the back end of AHOY SENOR at this meeting for the past two years and looks opposable again. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose BRAVEMANSGAME in Aintree 2.55
Aintree 4.40
HASANKEY is very consistent, especially when the mud’s flying, and is worth chancing in the Red Rum Handicap Chase in the hope that conditions ease further. When returned to the track within seven weeks of his previous outing, his jumps record on officially good to soft or softer going stands at 21332511162 (4-11) and did well to finish second from off the pace on deep ground at Warwick last time.. Back him each-way in the fixed odds betting with Spreadex or buy in the 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Back HASANKEY in Aintree 4.40
