CURRAGH 3.40
AUGUSTE RODIN is obviously going to be hard to beat in the Irish Derby but the value lies with stablemate ADELAIDE RIVER. The son of Australia was only eighth in the Derby at Epsom but helped to force the early pace on a day such tactics were at a huge disadvantage. His 11-length defeat was worthy of an uplift – he actually fared best of those to race on the front end – and such tactics are more effective here at the Curragh. Stablemates COVENT GARDEN and SAN ANTONIO can also go from the front but, with luck, he’ll tuck in behind in second or third and keep rolling against the rail from a useful draw in stall 3. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or back each-way in the fixed odds betting.

UTTOXETER 3.52
Mark Walford has his string in good form, but I have to oppose his GIOVANNI CHANGE in this 2m7f handicap hurdle. The eight-year-old reserves his best efforts for right-handed Market Rasen and tends to hang/jump to his right when racing left-handed over hurdles. His record this way round over obstacles reads 33P835PP2 (0-8) and he rates a sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose GIOVANNI CHANGE in Uttoxeter 3.52
