Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew starts the new week with two recommended bets/trades at Brighton and Newcastle on Monday, September 11th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
BRIGHTON 2.20
Pace angle BUY THE DIP might be able to upset short-priced favourite UNCLE DICK in this 1m apprentice handicap. The jolly has scored just once from his last 20 starts and, while the selection is hardly prolific either (one win from nine starts in handicaps), I like the booking of Luke Catton who was seen to such good effect from the front on Quinalt at Ascot last Saturday. Buy BUY THE DIP at 24 in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back BUY THE DIP in Brighton 2.20
NEWCASTLE 5.30
It’s very difficult to win from a low draw (stall 1, 2 or 3) in big-field (12+ runner) handicaps on the round course at Newcastle (distances of 1m2f+), with just 22 winners from 549 qualifiers (4% strike-rate) for a loss of £303.63 to a £1 level stake at SP (-55.3% on turnover). There have been 38 consecutive losers since Barenboim won on October 24th last year. That winner was extremely well handicapped off a mark of 67 and saw his rating rise to 105 after winning four of his next seven starts. The three runners drawn 1, 2 and 3 are fairly big prices in this 14-runner 1m2f contest but a buy of DOUBLE DRAW OF WINNER with Spreadex still looks warranted.
Recommendation: Buy DOUBLE DRAW OF WINNER in Newcastle 5.30
