WOLVERHAMPTON JOCKEYS
Wolverhampton’s Tapeta surface can behave very differently in the summer months and one jockey who is particular adept at riding the track at this time of year is HOLLIE DOYLE. She’s scored on 32 of her 138 Wolverhampton mounts from June to September and backing them all would have retuned a profit of £80.96 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners only 19.13). Doyle has a cracking book of rides today, starting with course and distance winner MADRINHO in the 6.00 for in-form Tony Carroll. CREATIVE STYLE, ex-Charlie Appleby, looks set to run a big race in the fillies’ maiden (6.30) on her debut for Archie Watson, while KHUNAN might leave recent efforts well behind in the 7.00 now gelded. CUBAN BREEZE, another course and distance winner, looks well berthed in the 7.30, BILLIAN has a wide draw to overcome in the 8.00 but caught the eye from off the pace at Chelmsford last time, STEEL HELMET (8.30) won well here on his latest start and has backed up a win before, while the first-time blinkers could help ISLE OF WOLVES to end a frustrating sequence of in-the-frame efforts (9.00).
