HAMILTON 7.40
LIGHTENING COMPANY has proved very disappointing over hurdles on his last two starts, beating only one home when 4-1 at Hexham before his modest 3-1 sixth of nine at Uttoxeter, albeit after losing a shoe. However, Ben Haslam’s five-year-old is now 0-4 over obstacles and looks set to appreciate the return to the Flat in this 1m handicap. He won at Pontefract in April when last reverting to the Flat from hurdles and he also pulled off this trick at Redcar last year, the only other occasion he’s made the switch. The deep ground will suit, and he can be bought in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or backed each-way.
