SEA THE POLARIS (system – Paddy Twomey newcomers)
Paddy Twomey has a cracking record with newcomers (Flat turf, all-weather or national hunt flat races), scoring with 21 of the 97 qualifiers (21.7% strike-rate) for a profit of £56.80 to a £1 level stake at SP. His three previous qualifiers this month all won (7-1, 3-1 and 3-1) and SEA THE POLARIS can keep the ball rolling.

LINE OF FIRE (system – Rod Millman, handicap debut)
Since the beginning of 2018, Rod Millman is 12 from 79 with his handicap debutants for a profit of £63.75 to a £1 level stake at SP. LINE OF FIRE has shown ability in three fillies’ novice contests and looks very interesting now handicapping with Oisin Murphy booked. Murphy has only ridden one qualifier for the yard this year – 4-1 winner Just A Spark at Wolverhampton in March.

LOT OF JOY (system – Willie Mullins, no headgear, wore first-time hood on latest start)
Once of my punting angles is to oppose Willie Mullins’ runners in a first-time hood, especially the hurdlers. But what happens to these first-time hooded runners on their next start? Since 2010, backing the yard’s runners without headgear, who wore a first-time hood on their latest outing, would have found 11 winners from 30 bets for a profit of £26.27 to a £1 level stake at SP. LOT OF JOY bombed out in the first-time hood in Grade 1 company at Fairyhouse last time and she ran well in this race last year, finishing a 10-1 fourth of 20 behind 11-4 favourite and stablemate Echoes Of Rain.
