Progeny of the sire Equiano typically enjoy the soft or heavy going and had we backed all the qualifiers in handicap company on the Flat in Britain, after a recent outing (1-42 days), we’d have landed 48 of our 325 bets (14.8% strike-rate) and made a profit of £50.38 to a £1 level stake at SP. EY UP IT’S MAGGIE has her conditions for the first time in a few starts and will appreciate any further rainfall.

INDIGO FIVE (system – Fast Company, soft or heavy going, Flat)
Progeny of the sire Fast Company tend to thrive when the mud is flying, with the Flat runners winning 129 of their 944 starts (13.7%) on soft or heavy going for a profit of £48.61 to a £1 level stake at SP. INDIGO FIVE returned from a break of 296 days when a close-up 40-1 fourth on yielding going in a Killarney maiden on her stable debut last month and today’s softer going conditions can help her to get off the mark at what should be an attractive price.

GLOBAL HUMOR (system – Distorted Humor, Ayr)
Progeny of the sire Distorted Humor have a ten from 38 record at Ayr for a profit of £28.11 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 5.41, A/E = 1.85), with six of the sire’s seven individual runners to line-up here proving successful (Funny Man, fourth at 17-2 on his sole course outing, is the only exception). GLOBAL HUMOR, a four-time course winner, is running over a trip short of his best but the soft ground should make this a sufficient test of stamina and he’s worth chancing.
