Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal defender, Gabriel Magalhaes, as the club prepare for Sergio Ramos to leave this summer.

The Brazilian defender has been a regular started for the Gunners since signing in 2020, forming a solid partnership with France international, William Saliba.

Appearing in every Premier League match this season, the 25-year-old has cemented himself as one of the best defenders in England’s top-flight.

Unfortunately for Arsenal supporters, Gabriel’s fine form was not enough to clinch the Premier League title, as Mikel Arteta’s side dropped an eight-point lead to eventual league winners, Manchester City.

However, qualification for the Champions League has made the possibility of summer signings increase and West Ham captain, Declan Rice, could be on his way to the Emirates this window.

Departures are also in the works at Arsenal, as Granit Xhaka looks set to join Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen and according to reports, Gabriel has attracted interest from Ligue 1 champions, PSG.

Christophe Galtier, who has now been dismissed by the Parisian side, failed to meet the club’s main objective – to win the Champions League.

His side were decimated by Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr all failing to score.

The club’s problems grew as star player, Lionel Messi, was suspended for two weeks following an unauthorised absence from training and the Argentinian has been confirmed to leave Paris this summer.

Adding Gabriel to the squad has become more likely over the coming days, as Sergio Ramos joined Messi in confirming his departure from the Ligue 1 champions.

However, the 25-year-old’s contract is set to expire in 2027, meaning any deal to land the Brazilian defender could cost up to £70m.
