There was plenty of Premier League talent on display this weekend in the England under 21’s victory over France, as youngsters from four different Premier League sides netted in a dominant display.

It was a routine victory for the under 21’s on Saturday afternoon, however the Young Lions struggled to find the net in the first half and headed down the tunnel level with France after the first 45 minutes.

It didn’t take England long to get going in the second half however, as Emile Smith Rowe was on hand to break the deadlock just after the break with a header at the back post giving the Three Lions the lead.

Although he hasn’t featured for Arsenal much this season mainly due to injury, Smith Rowe has slowly been making his way back into the side and his goal against France will do him the world of good going into the final weeks of the title race.

Just before the 70th minute new Chelsea signing Noni Madueke entered the game and the 21-year old showed what the Blues have been missing on their bench, with two assists and a goal in 25 minutes.

Madueke scored his goal with a calm finish in the box, as the winger confidently buried past Lucas Chevalier in net to double England’s advantage

The Chelsea star was on hand to set up Liverpool’s Curtis Jones and Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey to round off a dominant display from both Madueke and the Young Lions.

Madueke has only started two Premier League games this season for Chelsea, however with the Blues struggling in tenth and their new signing bursting into life from the bench against France… could it be time to hand the winger a start?

All four of the goalscorers from today’s game will feature in Premier League action next weekend, with Madueke also looking forward to a Champions League quarter-final in April.
