Newcastle are reportedly planning on letting Frenchman, Allan Saint-Maximin depart the club as they continue their pursuit of Everton forward, Anthony Gordon.

The Magpies sit in third place in the Premier League table, as their dream season slowly becomes a reality. However, the tricky winger finds himself out of the squad after a difficult spell with injuries. Only getting on the score sheet once this season has caused Eddie Howe to look elsewhere.

Signing back in 2019, Saint-Maximin has brought a sense of excitement and trickery to the Premier League. Unfortunately, the winger hasn’t matched the level of performance that the rest of his teammates have shown this season.

Similarly, Gordon has struggled this season as Everton occupy a spot in the relegation places, having recently sacked their manager, Frank Lampard.  The 21 year-old was in demand over the summer, with Chelsea having a £4o million bid rejected, which saw the winger stay in Merseyside.

Yet, Newcastle Manger, Eddie Howe, has shown a clear interest in signing the young English forward, with UK betting sites pricing his transfer to Newcastle at 3/1. With hopes that Gordon could play a vital push in the Toon’s hopes of playing in the Champions League.
