According to UK Betting Sites, Newcastle United are the front-runners to sign want-away Leicester City midfielder, Youri Tielemans, as the Belgian’s contract expires this summer.

The Foxes have endured a difficult season, as they find themselves in and amongst the relegation places. Long term manager, Brendan Rodgers, was made surplus to requirements and his replacement, Mike Dean, has failed to turn things around at the King Power.

One player that has been rumoured to leave the club this summer is Belgium international, Your Tielemans. The 26-year-old’s contract expires in the summer and has attracted interest from a host of clubs.

Making 29 Premier League appearances this season, the former Monaco midfielder has been a bright spark for the Midlands-based side.

Scoring three goals and contributing with one assist, the Belgian’s attacking output has been put under scrutiny. However, since his arrival in 2019, Premier League supporters have become accustom to the quality Tielemans possesses.

With the midfielder set to leave as a free agent, a host of clubs will be keen to take advantage. Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are said to be the favourites to land the Leicester star’s signature.

The Magpies are having a superb season under their new manager, as they sit third in the table and are one point away from securing Champions League football.

Midfield duo, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton, have been a revelation this year and could make it difficult for Tielemans to cement a place in the Toon’s midfield.

Leicester City teammate, James Maddison, is also rumoured with a move away from the club this summer and Newcastle are also leading the race for the England international.

Acquiring both Maddison and Tielemans, may be a tall order for the Magpies, however with clubs recent takeover, it is not an impossible deal to agree.
