SPORTSLENS 1-2-3 NEWBURY ITV RACING TIPS: Noble Style was last seen running a fine 6th in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket earlier this month, just didn’t last out the mile trip. Therefore, last season’s Gimcrack winner will enjoy the return to 6f here and being rated 7lbs higher than Aesop’s Fables has enough in-hand to make him the clear one to beat. The Julie Camacho runner Shaquille and Jonathan Portman entry Rumstar are decent sorts for these smaller yards and can pick up some nice prize money too.

SPORTSLENS 1-2-3 NEWBURY ITV RACING TIPS: The top-rated Yibir is sure to run well here dropped into a Group 3, but a chance is taken on the Frankie-ridden Haskoy to improve and make a race of it. This Ralph Beckett runner was last seen running fourth in the St Leger back in September – but don’t forget he actually finished 2nd that day (demoted to 4th). She gets a handy 3lbs from Yibir too and the drop back to 1m4f here with another winter on his back can see her go well on what is only her fourth career run. Godolphin’s Kemari can do best of the rest after running well in Dubai earlier this year.

SPORTSLENS 1-2-3 NEWBURY ITV RACING TIPS: The King will have a leading chance here with the Haggas-trained Desert Hero, but he’s not been out for 7 months and so Bertinelli gets the nod. This Aidan O’Brien runner still actually has an Epsom Derby entry (50/1) but should also be more race-fit after a second on his return run this season at Cork. Ryan Moore rides and could turn out to be better than a handicapper. Dante winning owners King Power also have a leading chance in Lieber Power, who wasn’t beaten far the last day despite coming 6th of 7 at Kempton and would have come on for that.

3:35 – Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series) Cl1 (4yo+) 1m ITV
SPORTSLENS 1-2-3 NEWBURY ITV RACING TIPS: A very open-looking Lockinge Stakes, with Godolphin’s globetrotting Modern Games probably the likely favourite in a race the ‘boys in blue’ love to win. But a chance is taken with the filly Laurel, who will be the mount of Frankie Dettori. She’s won 3 of her 4 starts to date, with her only blot coming when a close second in the Sun Chariot Stakes at HQ last October. A recent win at Kempton has shown he’s wintered well and with Frankie having a good time of it at York this week he can continue that form into the weekend.
Course winner Light Infantry and recent Newmarket scorer Mustasaabeq, who was impressive in the Bet365 Mile last time, also look to have decent chances.
