Manchester United Winger Desperate For January Move

Manchester United forward Anthony Elanga is looking for a move away from Old Trafford with only a few days left of the January transfer window.

The Sweden international has struggled to make an impact this season, with Erik Ten Hag tending to use new signing, Antony and 18-year-old Alejandro Garnacho. Elanga has only made five Premier League starts and with Jadon Sancho returning, the Swede has dropped down the pecking order.

Everton were favourites to sign the 20-year-old, with both clubs agreeing on a six-month loan. However, according to reports, Ten Hag personally stopped the switch from happening. The Dutchman supposedly rejected the move as he felt Everton’s current situation both on and off the field was not the right surrounding for Elanga.

However, the winger may finally be getting his move with Dutch side, PSV, looking to add some quality to their attack following the departures of Cody Gakpo and Noni Madueke . According to reports, PSV are interested in signing Elanga with manager Ruud van Nistelrooy keeping a close eye on his former club’s attacking options.

Ten Hag is reportedly still reluctant to let players leave during the January transfer window and may block the transfer from happening until the summer. It’s clear that Ten Hag does not consider Elanga as a pivotal member of the squad and a transfer may be what’s necessary.
