Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Liverpool will be adding Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and January signing Cody Gakpo to their Champions League Squad.

Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the next stage of the Champions League and have selected the returning duo of Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain after their return from injury. The Reds will also have recent signing Cody Gakpo at their disposal, as the Dutchman looks for his first Liverpool goal.

Klopp gave an update on Portuguese striker, Diogo Jota after the 26-year-old suffered a major injury this season but is still in the squad after returning to training over the last week.

The German said: “Diogo Jota had a full session with the team this week but then the next day had again a rehab session, not because of the session the day before, it was just part of the plan. I think he will be back in normal training next week.”

Colombian winger Luis Diaz has contributed to five goals in eight Premier League matches but has been on the sidelines for the majority of the season. The Liverpool manager is hopeful the 26-year-old will give his side a needed boost when he returns.

Klopp said: “Luis is running now, it will take a few weeks still but he is now out on the pitch as well running, which is really good.”
