The North London side have the third best defensive record in the top-flight this season, and much of that is down to Saliba and Gabriel’s solidity at the back.

Brazilian Gabriel has been in the side since 2020, and played a big role since. Meanwhile Saliba is currently in his breakthrough season with Arsenal, after having three loan spells away in the past few seasons.

Kolo Toure was part of Arsenal’s last Premier League winning team, and had plenty of praise for Saliba and Gabriel.
