Erling Haaland added two to his Premier League tally this season marking 13 goals – three ahead of second place Mohamed Salah. Haaland’s second against Chelsea was a bizarre goal made even more bizarre by the position of the body Haaland scored it with.

Haaland’s second goal

Haaland admitted that he scored with his balls when Manchester City went 3-2 up last night. He said “I have never scored with the balls before. So it’s a milestone.”

The Norwegian international is certainly reaching more milestones and smashing more records. His two goals against Chelsea means it’s only Liverpool and Brentford in the Premier League that he hasn’t managed to score past.

Manchester City play Liverpool next once the international break is over. Fans can watch that one on Sky Sports Premier League on Saturday 25th November at 12:30pm.

Haaland is now close to reaching a record set by Manchester United legend Andy Cole. Cole scored 50 goals in 65 games. Haaland could break that record in the next couple of games as he has 49 goals in 47 matches. This record dates all the way back to 1992 – his father, Alfie Haaland’s playing days.

Haaland isn’t too concerned with breaking records and is much more focused on the team’s performance and winning games for the club. He said: “I don’t think much of it. I’m thinking about winning. We top the table now and it hasn’t been such a bad start to the season after all”.

Manchester City are league leaders heading into the international break by one point over second placed Liverpool. They have also qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 which has given them the start they would’ve hoped for.
