With various rumours and speculation about who Anthony Joshua is going to fight next, Eddie Hearn has all but confirmed who we could see AJ in the ring with next.

After suffering defeat to Oleksandr Usyk for the second time on August 20th in Saudi Arabia, there have been various names throw in the hat to face the 2012 Olympic Gold Medallist.

With talks breaking down between Joshua and Tyson Fury a few weeks ago, with ‘The Gypsy King’ opting for a trilogy with Derek Chisora instead, UK boxing fans have been guessing who ‘AJ’ will face next.

According to various boxing betting sites, Joshua is favourite to face former foe, Dillian Whyte, in a rematch at the beginning of next year. Whyte faces big American heavyweight, Jermaine Franklin, on November 26th in London, and Hearn has revealed the winner could fight Joshua next.

Speaking on Franklin’s chances of a big fight if he beats Whyte, Eddie Hearn told iFL TV:

If Jermaine Franklin beats Dillian Whyte, he’s pretty much nailed on to fight Anthony Joshua and make millions and millions of dollars. So, that’s what he’s fighting for.

Franklin is set to face ‘The Body Snatcher’ at Wembley Arena in the capital in a few weeks time, live on DAZN – one of the best boxing live streaming sites.
