Conor McGregor has taken to social media with a graphic hinting at his return to competitive MMA action. The former two-division UFC champion has hinted at a move to welterweight in his next fight, which is set to be in 2023.

McGregor Teases UFC Return At Welterweight

The former two-division UFC champion and first person to ever hold two different belts in two different division simultaneously, Conor McGregor, has hinted at a return to the octagon next year.

The Irishman hasn’t fought since July 2021 but has hinted that he may well return to the UFC in the not so distant future. McGregor took to Instagram and Twitter with a photograph of him looking the heaviest and most muscular he has ever been.

The 34-year-old obviously used to campaign at 145-pounds (featherweight), before moving up to lightweight (155-pounds) and becoming the champion there too. Now, ‘Notorious’ has heavily hinted that his next move will be up to welterweight (170-pounds).

Of course, McGregor has previously fought at welterweight when he fought Nate Diaz for the first time, as well as his fight with Donald Cerrone. The Irishman looks stacked and is sure to be weighing nearly 200-pounds right now.

According to various UFC betting sites, the former ‘double-champ’ could be set to return against Dustin Poirier for a fourth fight or the likes of Jorge Masvidal. One thing is for sure, the days of seeing Conor McGregor fighting at featherweight and lightweight are well and truly gone.
