In the latest Arsenal transfer news, reports from Germany have claimed that Premier League leaders are potentially eyeing a move for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Danish midfielder Jesper Lindstrom this summer.

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have reportedly been long-time admirers of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jesper Lindstrom.

The young Dane said he felt “insanely happy” to be linked to the Gunners when asked about the rumours in 2022.

Now sitting top of the Premier League table, the north Londoners are said to be ramping up their interest in the 23-year-old, as they look for midfield reinforcements in the summer.

Respected German journalist Patrick Berger revealed the transfer news over on Twitter, claiming that Frankfurt are already preparing for the Danish midfielder’s departure.

“Arsenal FC among the English clubs pushing to sign Jesper Lindstrøm.” Berger said.

“Eintracht Frankfurt already preparing for the departure of the 23yo midfielder. Price tag: €30m. With Arsenal, three other UK clubs in the race, sources telling us.”


Who Is Jesper Lindstrom?

Lindstrom came through several Danish academies, but made his name with Danish Superliga side Brondby.

In his three Superliga seasons, Lindstrom made 57 appearances, netting on 13 occasions. In his final season. he led Brondby to their first league title in 16 years.

This sparked interest from top European club, with Eintracht Frankfurt being the club to secure his signature.

Lindstrom has amassed 51 appearances during his time in the Bundesliga, and has scored 12 goals in the German top division.

Last season, he claimed the Europa League title with Frankfurt, as well as being named Bundesliga Rookie of the Season.

The 2022/23 season has seen him score seven and assist four in the league, with a further two goals coming in the Champions League and the DFB Pokal.

With nine caps and a goal for Denmark to go with all of this, could Arsenal be his next destination?
