The Champions League Round of 16 draw got underway in Switzerland this morning and it provided us with a lot of tasty fixtures.
Who did Arsenal and Manchester City get?
The remaining Premier League sides, Arsenal and Manchester City got favourable draws in their first big test towards the final.
Despite being two times Champions League winners and 30 times winners of the Portuguese league, Porto struggle against English opposition. Liverpool, have cruised past them in recent campaigns and it should be no different with Arsenal.
Manchester City will no doubt the favourites once again even though their Premier League form has somewhat dropped off. They’re one of two teams who won all their matches in the group stage along with record 14-time winners Real Madrid.
Other favourites like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid received tougher opponents but nothing that the European giants can’t handle.
Full round of 16 draw
Porto V Arsenal
Napoli V Barcelona
PSG V Real Sociedad
Inter Milan V Atletico Madrid
PSV Eindhoven V Borussia Dortmund

When will the matches be played?
The first leg of the ties will be played from February 13-21 and the second legs from March 5th-13th. The first leg will be played how the fixtures line up with the reverse leg being played at the away teams home ground.
Those teams who topped their groups get the advantage of playing away first.
Social Media reactions to the draw
On X, one Arsenal fan is happy with the draw and even put that they’re ‘Starting to dream’ of Champions League glory. It’d be the first time that Arsenal would get their hands on the trophy. They’re now joined with Tottenham being the only teams in the ‘big six’ that have never won the Champions League.
Another X user had differential views and said: “Manchester City definitely winning again this year.”
A bold predictor under the username ‘Gabansah’ gave a full round of 16 prediction. They said: “Round of 16 Winners: Arsenal PSG Dortmund Man City Barcelona Inter Milan Bayern Real Madrid.”
All will be revealed in the weeks of March when the games are fully decided and fans can look forward to the Quarter-final.
