Jude Bellingham is a doubt for Saturday’s El Clasico with Barcelona after being subbed off in the latter stages of Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Braga. It looked like a groin issue and the midfielder is currently being assessed.
Bellingham is yet to have a serious injury in his playing career and according to Carlo Ancelotti that day is still to come as he played down the injury in his post-match interview:
He said: “Bellingham is fine. “His adductor is a bit overloaded due to the state of the pitch, which was a bit soft.
“He’ll be fine, he’ll be fit [to play against Barcelona]. He’s a bit tired but it’s normal.”
Bellingham has been crucial to Real Madrid so far this season. He’s bagged 11 goals and assisted three. He also has nine man of the match awards to his name already.
Only a point separates Barcelona and Real Madrid going into El Clasico. Real Madrid are the league leaders and Barcelona are in 3rd place but that could all change come Saturday evening.
