It’s Carlo Ancelotti’s last season at Real Madrid as he departs to manage the Brazil national team. Ancelotti is just waiting on approval from Real Madrid. His successor has been rumoured a lot in the past few months including the likes of Xabi Alonso and Roberto De Zerbi. But it seems Jose Mourinho is set to join Real Madrid once more.
Mourinho is currently managing Roma in the Serie A. Roma are certainly struggling this season sat in 10th place. Mourinho lead Roma to the Europa League final last season only to get beat by Sevilla on penalties.
Mourinho’s Roma contract expires in the summer and it’s understood that they aren’t looking to extend it as they’re eyeing Antonio Conte to replace the Portuguese in the summer.
During his time at Real Madrid, Mourinho won the Copa del Rey, LaLiga title and the Spanish Super Cup.
