Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew found Ayr Bronze Cup winner ASCOT ADVENTURE (15-2) on Friday and has three recommended bets/trades on Saturday, September 23rd. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
NEWBURY 2.05
Newbury’s Dubai Duty Free Autumn Cup looks ripe for an upset. SEA KING and VALSAD head the market, but both seem happier on faster going. The former made all in a four-runner contest on officially soft going at Goodwood last time but his beaten rivals had all shown a preference for good/faster going or an all-weather surface and he’d been withdrawn on soft ground previously. Outsider GET SHIRTY, three from three on soft going and number 3 on the racecard, is my pick in the race but with dangers NOT SO SLEEPY (number 1) and SALT BAY (number 2) also having low racecard numbers a sell of DOUBLE NUMBER OF WINNER with Spreadex looks the way to play the race.
Recommendation: Sell DOUBLE NUMBER OF WINNER in Newbury 2.05
AYR 2.25
David O’Meara continued his good recent spell when Ascot Adventure landed the Ayr Bronze Cup yesterday and he can add the Ayr Silver Cup courtesy of GULLIVER. The nine-year-old tends to peak in the autumn and ended a long losing run with victory in competitive Racing League handicap at Southwell last time. He won with authority after a slow start that day and he looks very well handicapped on his old form. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back GULLIVER in Ayr 2.25
AYR 3.35
I’ve gone round in circles in the Ayr Gold Cup, but I don’t want to let David O’Meara’s ESCOBAR go unbacked at a big price. The veteran was an 18-1 shot when a solid eighth of 24 to stablemate Summerghand in this race last year and can run off an 11lb lower mark this time around. The ground, officially good to soft, is much more to his liking this year and the return to sprinting could suit after spending the last 12 months running over 7f-1m0.5f trips. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back ESCOBAR in Ayr 3.35
