He’s four from 17 on this angle for a profit of £9.83 to a £1 level stake at SP, with those who returned to the track quickly (within three weeks) winning four from 12 (+£14.73). AMERICAN TALE scored with a bit in hand at Kempton on August 14th and can double up here.

Brian Meehan’s ART OF ROMANCE failed to build on the promise of his debut second to Covey at Newmarket in two subsequent starts but has been gelded since and might be worth a speculative each-way interest now handicapping in first time headgear. Since 2015, his trainer is nine from 36 in turf handicaps with newly-gelded runners for a profit of £23.50 to a £1 level stake at SP.
