Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads to the Flat meetings at the Curragh and Pontefract for his two recommended bets/trades on Sunday, August 20th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

CURRAGH 3.00

There’s not much in the way of early pace on offer in this 6f handicap and RUNNING COOL might be able to blast off down the centre of the track and make all. Natalia Lupini’s three-year-old has disappointed over the minimum trip the last twice but was a Fairyhouse winner when last racing over today’s distance and stays 7f. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: back RUNNING COOL in Curragh 3.00

PONTEFRACT 3.25

Ralph Beckett’s FUNNY STORY fared best of those to race down the middle of the track when third in the 6f fillies’ handicap at Glorious Goodwood last time, a fantastic effort in the circumstances. Her record over 6f now reads 110413 (3-6), improving to 111 (3-3) on fast turf/Polytrack, and her trainer remains in superb form. She’s up in Class to Listed company today but looks well berthed in stall 5, the ground should be in her favour and she is worth backing each-way with Spreadex or buying in the 50-30-20-10 market.

Recommendation: Back FUNNY STORY in Pontefract 3.25
