Since racing resumed after lockdown in June 2020, the Kubler yard is showing a profit of £60.00 with horses stepping up in trip from 7f or shorter to 1m or further. The strike-rate isn’t great (six winners from 40 runners) but 13 of the beaten horses also made the frame and EVENING STORY might be able to reward each-way support in this 1m restricted novice contest after her encouraging comeback third in a 7f maiden at Redcar.

CROOKED CROWN (system – Rod Millman, handicap debut)
Since the beginning of 2018, the Rod Millman yard is 12 from 80 with handicap debutants for a profit of £62.75 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those running on the all-weather were six from 29 for a profit of £30.50. CROOKED CROWN finished a respectable 125-1 12th of 20 in the Super Sprint at Newbury last time and will find this much easier.
