AYR 3.40
MISTAMAC (system – John Quinn, Ayr)
John Quinn does well under both codes at Ayr and had we backed all his runners here, since the beginning of 2010, we’d have found 45 winners from 238 bets (18.9% strike-rate) and made a profit of £64.91 to a £1 level stake at SP. MISTAMAC’s forcing style was no help at Newcastle last time where he finished a respectable 22-1 fifth and he’s worth chancing to small stakes.
WINDSOR 7.20
DUNES KING (system – Windsor, stalls 1, 2 and 3)
This season, stalls 1, 2 and 3 have a combined record of 56 winners from 324 winners at Windsor for a profit of £17.98 to a £1 level stake at SP. The newcomers were six from 32 (+£26.63) and it could be worth chancing DUNES KING from the Charlton yard, well drawn in stall 2 and unlikely to have a problem with the soft ground on breeding.
BEVERLEY 7.30
BOLD TERRITORIES (system – Territories, soft or heavy going)
Progeny of the sire Territories are 21 from 115 (18.3% strike-rate) on actual soft or heavy going (based on race times, not the official verdict) against an expected score of 14.31. We’d have lost money by backing them blind at SP but those who started in the front six in the betting were 21 from 83 (25.3%) for a profit of £28.72. BOLD TERRITORIES came good at this time last year and won’t have any problems with tonight’s heavy going.
