Andrew found 4-1 Haydock scorer EXPENSIVE QUEEN on Friday has unearthed several statistical angles for racing on Saturday, July 8th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
HAYDOCK 1.30
TALHA (system – Havana Grey progeny, 5f, turf)
Simply backing all progeny of the sire Havana Grey over 5f on turf would have found 43 winners from 196 runners (22% strike-rate) for a profit of £40.91 to a £1 level stake at SP. TALHA clocked a fast time when making much of the running to score at Redcar last time and could be hard to catch.

ARISTIA (system – Lancashire Oaks, 4yo+, ran in Group 1 or Group 2 company last time out)
Those aged four or older who prepped in a Group 1 or Group 2 have a fantastic record in the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks, with seven of the 13 qualifiers successful since 2008 for a profit of £40.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. ARISTIA is the sole qualifier this year and is worth a punt to bounce back from her York comeback defeat where she as too free and keen.

US NAVY JACK (system – Adrian Nicholls, sellers)
I was expecting to tip tracker horse THE GOOD BISCUIT for this 6f seller but stall 10 makes life difficult and I’d rather back US NAVY JACK. Trainer Adrian Nicholls has a fantastic record in sellers, scoring with ten of his 28 runners (35.7%) for a profit of £47.90 to a £1 level stake at SP. Eight of those ran at Leicester and four won (14-1, 17-2, 9-2 and 4-1).
CARLISLE 6.22
CLOSE CONNECTION (system – Michael Dods, second-time out 2yos)
Since the beginning of 2012, Michael Dods is 40 from 242 (16.5% strike-rate) with his second-time out 2yos for a profit of £61.22 to a £1 level stake at SP. CLOSE CONNECTION was only 12th of 13 at Redcar on his recent debut but the 16-1 shot was slow not his stride and ran green. He’ll obviously improve for that and is worth a tiny each-way bet at odds of around 50-1.
CARLISLE 6.52
SOMEWHERE SECRET (system – Adrian Nicholls, stable switchers)
SOMEWHERE SECRET usually pops up at least once every summer and perhaps that could be tonight at Carlisle where he makes his debut for in-form Adrian Nicholls in this 5f handicap. Nicholls has a useful record at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other trainers, scoring with seven of the 53 qualifiers for a profit of £33.00 to a £1 level stake at SP.
