CLEAR THE RUNWAY (system – Laura Morgan, chasers)
Laura Morgan has a 80 from 376 record (21.3% strike-rate) with her chasers and backing them all would have returned an excellent profit of £119.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. CLEAR THE RUNWAY, returned from a 105-day break to complete a five-timer at Worcester in September but failed to back that up when a disappointing sixth of seven to Dads Lad at Cheltenham the following month. He returns fresh from a near nine-month break and may be able to continue his progression.
HAYDOCK 3.50
MACANUDO (system – Amo Racing-owned newcomers)
Owners Amo Racing have a solid record with newcomers, regardless of age or who trains them. They’ve won with 36 of the 157 qualifiers (22.9% strike-rate) for a profit of £44.73 to a £1 level stake at SP. MACANUDO, a son of Invincible Spirit, cost connections 210,000 euros and could be worth chancing to make a winning debut.
KEMPTON 6.10
DOROTHEA BROOKE (system – Sire Nathaniel, trained by the Gosdens)
John Gosden trained dual Group 1 winner Nathaniel and he has done very well with the sire’s offspring, scoring with 35 of the 109 qualifiers (32.1% strike-rate) for a profit of £19.41 to a £1 level stake at SP. The strike-rate improves to 40.6% on the all-weather (13 winners from 32) and DOROTHEA BROOKE, a likely type on paper, might be able to make a winning debut in this 1m3f fillies’ novice stakes.
