HAMILTON 3.35
KHANJAR (system – 6f, Hamilton, low draws)
The stands’ side rail is rarely the place to be in 6f races at Hamilton, putting those drawn high at a disadvantage. Since the start of last season, simply backing all horses drawn 1, 2 or 3 would have found 25 winners from 114 bets (22% strike-rate) for a huge profit of £252.74 to a £1 level stake at SP. KHANJAR was only mid-division (12th of 21) at York last time but will be happier in today’s much smaller field. His wins have come in fields of eight, six and six runners and he faces just six rivals here.
CHELMSFORD 7.20
LUCKY FIFTEEN (system – Ralph Beckett. 3yos, second run since gelded)
Ralph Beckett does well with three-year-olds on their second start after being gelded, scoring with 28 of the 119 qualifiers (23.5% strike-rate) for a profit of £52.67 to a £1 level stake at SP. In handicaps only, his record is 21 from 87 for a profit of £65.86. LUCKY FIFTEEN, second of 17 at Newbury on his reappearance/since start since gelded, can go one better.
